James Bernier

Executive Chef

Chef James earned his Culinary Arts degree from Johnson & Wales University.  Upon gradating he moved to Arizona and honed his skills offering Southwest cuisine.  He returned to Connecticut in the early 1990’s where he has led several successful restaurants.  He joined Notch8 in 2020 and continues to offer an innovative, diverse menu.  His unique weekly specials focusing on delicious seafood and smoked meats frequently sell-out.
